7 Lessons your parents didn’t teach you but should have.

  • Learn to chew your food more. Once for every tooth you have. The more you chew, the more you increase the surface area on the food particles for the enzymes to act on. This helps with a faster and efficient digestion.
  • The trick to a good night’s sleep. Drink plenty of water during the day and stretch for 5 minutes before going to bed.
  • Never go for a jog/run/gym on an empty stomach.
  • Never fill your stomach to the full capacity for any meal. A good rule of thumb is to have space for a small snack after you finish your meal. ( This does not mean that you actually eat that snack )
  • The key to weight loss. Stop eating breakfast. Or if you get so hungry, eat fruits for breakfast.
  • Dessert should never comprise fruits. Fruit salad is probably the most eaten dessert but fruit simply rots in the stomach, if a heavy meal is ahead of it, in the digestion process.
  • Follow on to the above. Always eat fruit on an empty stomach. Fruit takes 20-30 minutes to get digested and pass through the stomach. You reap the most nutrients out of it in this manner. Anything you do to keep fruit in the stomach longer is bad.
