What a load of crap this was. How can one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year turn out to be so bad ?
- Editing sucked big time
- Bad geek/computer lingo
- Painfully lousy dialogue
- Too many actors wasting too much time and space doing ... nothing
- Optimus prime got robbed for his right to defeat Megatron :-(
- Regurgitation of scenes from Armegedon, ( Has Michael Bay run out of ideas for screen shot ? )
I know it's sci-fi but there has got to be a bit of reality in how a car (bumblebee), can transform into a giant robot twice as tall as a 2 storey house. Wouldn't a robot twice the height of an average man added some reality to the story ?
How about the fact that so much transformation was happening on screen and so fast that I literally cannot recall a single scene. About the only 2 or 3 scenes that are ingrained in my brain are the slow motion scenes and damn they were good! Why were there no more of these ?
I'd love to have seen Speilberg direct the movie rather than him handing it off to Bay.
Make no mistake, I am a big Bay fan, but Transformers deserved a better treatment on screen. ( The same reason Ang Lee should never have directed Hulk, but we will save that argument for another day ).
Anything good about the movie ? Sure, Megan Fox.
Transformers is a truly brainless excercise. It has no re-sale value and I wouldn't see it again.
